| Hole 8 — Par-3 (~187 yards from back tees) | One of the most unique / iconic holes on the course. The green is shaped like the Iberostar starfish logo, surrounded entirely by sand (instead of water). | Club selection is key — aim for center if you’re unsure. Misses are heavily punished by the surrounding sand. Elevated tee can complicate wind. Getting on the green in regulation often feels like a success. | |
| Hole 11 — Par-3 (~210 yards) | Long par-3 over water to a green protected by bunkers and tiered slopes. | When the pin is not at the back, use the slope to your advantage. Be cautious of putting across tiers; a safe miss is better than trying to force a tough shot. Wind off the water often influences tee choice. | |
| Hole 13 — Par-5 (~487 yards) | Reachable in two if you go for it, but vulnerable: raised green, pot bunker on left, a long, skinny bunker along right side that borders a pond. | If you’re confident and long enough, you can attempt reaching in two. But staying conservative (lay up) often yields a safer birdie or par. Aim toward the left side off the tee to avoid trouble, especially the right bunker/pond. | |
| Hole 16 — Par-3 (~146 yards) | Shorter, but visually intimidating. Green is fronted by a stone retaining wall, with bunker between it and the green. Requires precision. | Don’t short-arm it. Carry matters. If wind is into you or comes crossway, err toward safer side and use pin location to guide your aim. | |
| Hole 10 — Par-4 | Features water running along the right side of the fairway, which forces you to choose between safety left or risk right with water. | Tee shot: favor left if you don’t have confidence. Approach shots need to consider water hazard and firmness of the fairway. Layups may be smart when conditions (wind, tee placement) are challenging. | |
| Hole 18 — Par-4 (~399 yards) | Strong finishing hole. Steep bank on the left side. Fairway tends to funnel balls to the right, making the approach more difficult. Green on a kind of peninsula shape which makes approach shots riskier. | Good drive needed. Avoid being left off the tee if possible. The slope into the green penalizes misses. A steady par feels excellent here. | |
